Primary 3 & 4 had a lovely visit from Gareth from ECO-schools. Gareth came in to do the Wheelie Bin Challenge with Primary 3 & 4. The children learnt all about the different types of waste and the harmful effects they can have on the environment. Gareth also informed the children how to correctly dispose of the different types of waste. The children all were very engaged and interested in what Gareth had to say. Lots of questions were asked and answered! The children completed the initial audit with Gareth, sorting and weighing the 3 different types of waste. Over the next few weeks we are going to try to decrease our general waste and increase our recycling waste before then completing the second audit for the challenge. Let's go team ECO!
