As part of our Handling Data focus, we decided to look at different ways of recording information. We put the different methods to the test in a traffic survey to see which colour car was most popular.
When we had completed our survey, we came back to class to discuss our findings. Firstly we decided that a tally chart was the quickest and easiest way to record data in the field. However, we decided that when presenting the data, a bar graph would be the easiest to see which was most popular. We also discussed why people might want to record information like this and thought that if we were to open a car garage, we would know which colour cars to stock most of.
