Shared Education Walk
Pupils from Long Tower and Fountain Primary School joined together today to walk our city walls. It was a superb morning and the smiles on faces were as bright as the sun. Pupils had the opportunity to meet with their friends from Shared Education projects, Shared Education Choir and had the chance to make some new ones too!
Shared Education is something of great value to both our schools. We build friendships through learning and help to build a better community. However, due to funding, many of our Shared Education projects can be limited to a small number of classes.
This morning, every pupil from both schools (approximately 300!) walked around the city walls. The laughter of pupils echoed through the city and behaviour was simply outstanding. Many tourists were visibly shocked by such huge numbers of pupils coming together to enjoy the sunshine.
We would like to thank Mr Gallagher for being the driving force behind today's walk and for putting so much into our shared partnership.
Our pupils are the most valuable resource we have for shaping our future society. Well done to all the boys and girls who took part in today's Shared Education walk!
