Safer Internet Day
Next Tuesday (11th February) is Safer Internet Day, but because we are off for half term, lots of schools across Northern Ireland celebrated it today instead.
This year’s focus was on scams, the different forms they can come in, what they look like and how we can avoid them. All classes took part in lessons based on this and other aspects of online safety, with Primary 1-7 having an assembly specific to scams.
We explained to the children the impact a scam can have and that you should always tell a trusted adult if something like this happens to you online. There are lots of different things that people might try and get from you, this could include your personal information, items from a game or even money.
If it’s too good to be true, then it probably is! Stay safe online.
