Private Messaging

We are activating a new feature on our SchoolsNI App & Website - Private Messaging.

This will allow us to send messages to set groups of people/classes and restrict access to who can view them. Previously when sending a notification via the website/app, it had to be sent to all users of the app who had registered to our school.

This new feature will allow teachers to send messages and notifications specifically to parents of children in their class. For example, Mr Torney might want a message with a notification to only go to the parents of the children in his class. Another example might be if Mrs Graydon wants to send a notification to Nursery parents of a news article she has posted with pictures. We wouldn’t want this notification going to everyone but Nursery parents will definitely want to be made aware that it is online.

Each parent was asked to provide a primary email address and phone number. You will receive an SMS (in the next 24 hours) with details of how to activate the private messaging function for your child/children.

We have stressed over the last few years how important the SchoolsNI App and Website are for communication with parents. Please ensure you complete the steps as soon as possible so that we can get the feature up and running.
