As part of our push to become an Eco-School we spent the morning planting around the school.
We had a safety briefing where Harry explained to us how to use the equipment and what we would be doing.
We were split into 3 groups and started to work. The first group started by pulling out weeds form a flower bed and turning the soil. The other groups were planting trees and bushes.
We dug holes, placed the trees and plants into the ground, filled the holes with soil. For the trees we had to put down mats and bark to help them grow and put stakes beside them to help support them.
Nursery even came out to watch us working hard.
Thanks so much to Harry and Gareth for coming in to help us and we look forward to seeing them again in the future to taste all the different fruit that we grow.
