The day has finally come and the results are in!
After closing on Friday past, Mrs Arthur and Mr Torney spent the afternoon counting all the money that had been raised by the Penny Wars.
We were lucky enough to be able to borrow a money sorting machine from a local shop and all the children came to see how it worked while the coins were being bagged.
The coins were sorted and totals of silvers and coppers were recorded for each team. After doing the maths the totals final scores were noted and the winners were Team 3 (Primary 4/5/6/7). The grand total raised was a massive £557.34.
We would like to thank everyone who got involved and we are so impressed with the amount that has been raised. Primary 4/5 and 6/7 will discuss with their teachers what their prize will be and we look forward to telling you what they decide.
Today was a great way to wrap up before the Easter holidays and we hope you all have a happy and safe Easter break.
