Over the past few weeks we've been learning about measuring length. We started by estimating and measuring length with a partner. We had to decide what was the best non standard unit to measure different things around our classroom. These included, cubes, straws, paper clips and body parts.
When we discussed our measurements, we soon discovered that measuring with non standard units isn't accurate as many of us had different measurements.
This then led us to measuring in centimetres with a ruler in our next lesson which was much more accurate!
