March in Nursery
This month the children have been very busy learning all about Spring and enjoying the great weather.
Mrs Beveridge helped us to make pancakes on Pancake Tuesday and they were delicious! We also celebrated World Book Day and lots of the children enjoyed decorating a wooden spoon and turning it into a character from a book with their grown-ups.
During indoor play in the mornings children were able to make flowers using the playdough, play farms in the sand and on the floor and also made fruit salads following menu cards. In the Role Play area children prepared for Spring by spring cleaning the house, then they took on roles of shopkeepers and customers in our Flower Shop and Fruit and Vegetable Shop. We have also been very busy creating Spring pictures using paint, creative materials and the Interactive Whiteboard.
As we were doing such a great job of washing our dishes, this month the children have been learning how to dry them too. Soon all our parents will be able to sit with their feet up while the children wash and dry their snack dishes. 😂
During the good weather we played outside for longer and had lots of fun! We were able to plant flowers in the mud kitchen and enjoyed playing on the climbing frame and wheeled vehicles as always.
