Today was our P7 Leavers Assembly. It was a fantastic celebration of our Primary 7 childrens’ time at Fountain Primary School.
We started out by watching an interview with the Primary 7 children where they answered some questions about their school experience.
After that we moved on to a quiz with parents vs children. Well done to the ‘Fountain Rose’ team who came first, showing that they are indeed smarter than their 11 year olds and they were very happy to collect their prizes from the sweet jar.
Once our quiz was complete, we gave the children their awards. Each of our class members got an award chosen by their class mates. They were also given a goodie bag by Carlisle Road Presbyterian Church and the school awarded them with the tie to their chosen secondary school.
We had 2 special awards, they were the Gallagher Bequest, won by Oscar and Caoimhe, and the Literacy Award which was won by Travis.
Finally, to end our day we had a slideshow of some of the fantastic memories the children have made during their time in Fountain Primary School. There were tears all round, both happy to be reminiscing, but also sad to be moving on.
