We have had a busy month in Rainbow Room. The new children to the group have settled well and are enjoying their time in Rainbow Room. We have been using the iPads to help with our phonics and spelling. In Numeracy we have been learning about money and giving change and looking for 2D shapes in the classroom. In Literacy we have been looking at facts and opinions and other features of persuasive texts. The boys and girls have enjoyed working together and individually to make jigsaw puzzles with 40 or more pieces. Our afternoon group have been playing board games and learning about the importance of following rules, taking turns, and not getting upset if you don't win. We have been talking about having fun playing the game and being happy if someone else wins. Rainbow Room had a visit from one of the Primary 7 children to help celebrate his birthday and have share of some yummy birthday cake! The boys and girls have also enjoyed a trip to Longtower Primary School to catch up with our buddies.
