Over the last two weeks our focus books have been on Elmer the Patchwork Elephant. We have looked at how special Elmer is and what makes us unique. We did so many activities - dress up role play, sequencing, writing sentences, identifying syllables and creating birthday cards. We then had a party for Elmer's birthday. We also celebrated our own birthday and all got to eat a piece of rainbow cake. We had so much fun playing pass the parcel, musical statues and Simon says. We also worked really hard as we wrote cards, made party hats, designed balloons, wrapped presents, made party lists and made super delicious cupcakes.
