Over the last number of weeks, we have been working on discussing the school values with the children. Each week, a different value is being chosen and Mr Torney discusses what the value means and how the children can show that value in school as well as their lives in general. We then look out for this value being displayed by our children and pick our Friday Stars based on that value.
Over the last year, the school has done a significant amount of work on our Ethos, Vision and Values. Our aim is to embed these values in the everyday working of our school. These principles are what guide the decisions we make each day.
As part of this process, we have created some posters which will be going up in classrooms, as well as around the school, to let people know what our Ethos, Vision and Values are.
In a few weeks, Mr Torney will be posting a link for anyone who wishes to give feedback on any of these. This link will also be shared with visitors to our school, should they wish to give us feedback on them or any aspect of our school.
This week’s value will be caring. Why not discuss it with your child/children and see if we can link this value with our actions at home too.
