On the lead up to Easter we have been having lots of fun with eggs in all the different areas of our classroom. In the Role Play house we had great fun taking turns to be the Easter Bunny and hiding all the eggs for our friends to find. At the Art Table we made Easter bunnies to display on the Spring wall and we also found carrots in the soil and used them for mark making. We have been making and filling eggs in the sand tray and also with the dough. At the painting table we have been painting eggs using pom-poms. We also have been decorating hats and making necklaces with Easter pasta shapes, and developing our hand-eye co-ordination by catching the eggs with the utensils and dropping them into the tubes. One of our favourite Easter songs was 'Five Shiny Eggs' which we loved acting out with props.
What an eggciting time we have all had!
