This week in Literacy we made a start with our narrative topic. We've been thinking about the different genres of story (fantasy, horror, mystery, science fiction and action) and their features.
Today we worked with a partner to create our very own character. Each pair was given a genre and had to create a character based on that genre, thinking about their appearance, personalities and interests. Then each pair got to present their character to the class and answer questions about them. Everyone worked very well together and could describe their characters in great detail. Miss Colhoun has no doubt that we will have no problem creating characters in our own story writing, as everyone was great at using their imagination and confident describing their characters.
