Calling all Dads and Lads!

We have been approached about running a “Dads and Lads” programme through school. This would involve boys from the school and a male role model from home taking part in events together. The programme is not due to begin until early 2025, but before we commit to it, we need to know that we have enough families interested.

The programme will be over a series of weeks and will involve activities such as a Big Breakfast, visiting the Bowling Alley and maybe even Lazer Tag. At the first session, the group taking part will get to let the facilitators know what they are interested in doing and then it will be organised. The days and times will be discussed with the group and based on what people are available. This could be during the day, in the evenings or even at weekends, but the facilitators are very willing to work around whatever suits the people taking part in the programme.

Although it is called “Dads and Lads” any male role model could come, this could be a dad, uncle, granda etc and it is being aimed at boys from Primary 3 – 7. Transport doesn’t need to be an issue as the facilitators have said they will be able to organise this for anyone who is taking part.
