Brilliant Bridges
19th Jun 2024
As part of our World Around Us topic, 'Walls and Bridges', Primary 5, 6 and 7 have enjoyed designing and building their own bridges. Their first activity was to build a bridge with lego that was strong enough to hold a heavy book.
For their second activity, each group was given 60 straws, 5 pieces of paper and a roll of sellotape. We then tested how strong each bridge was by placing tins of beans on each bridge. The most tins of beans that a bridge could hold was 5! We then talked about how we could improve the bridges to make them stronger!
