Last week Primary 5/6/7 were working hard in Literacy as they created their very own information text on their favourite animal. First they used the iPads and Chromebooks to research their animal to create an animal fact file. They then used the information from their fact file to plan their own information text. They had to include the features of information texts which are diagrams, labels, a heading, sub-headings, bullet points and photographs with captions. They then used their plan to design their own information text about their animal. Finally, they presented their information text to the class and answered questions about their animal. Everyone put a lot of effort into their work and enjoyed creating it. The final pieces of work were very impressive and the whole class learnt lots of new information about different animals, including hammerhead sharks, otters, black panthers, guinea pigs, blue whales and fjord horses!
