P1/2 have been learning all about hedgehogs. The have read many different stories but particularly enjoy 'Don't Hog the Hedge!' They went on an Autumn walk and built some nests for the hedgehogs to start their hibernation. They all built nests during play, made hedgehogs using leaves from our walk and painted their very own Hattie the Hedgehog. During role play, the children worked hard in the Hedgehog Hospital to help mend all the poorly hedgehogs before hibernation starts. To finish their learning everyone recorded a fact and it was made into a class Fact File all about hedgehogs. Check out the photographs below.
